When I was in the 9th grade I went to a school called The Henry Viscardi School in Albertson, Long Island. It is a school for students with disabilities. I went to this school because it was better suited for me. Marc drove me very day!
At Viscardi I joined the wheelchair basketball team. Once a month we would have Friday Night Recreation. It was fun. I got to spend time with my friends. I enjoyed going to this school and I made many friends.
SPARC is a program that I used to attend on Saturday’s. It is a Film Production Workshop. We make videos and learn about film making. I have been involved in many of the videos. After they have been edited Matteo, our teacher puts them on YouTube.com. At the end of every semester we have a ceremony called the “Red Carpet Event.”
After I graduated I started going to a program at the Successful Learning Center. I used to attend classes at Pace University in Pleasantville, but now I attend classes at Fordham University in Westchester. SLC moved there and it is so much nicer. The rooms are bigger and the staff is really nice. They have college based classes for adults with disabilities. I made some good friend there. Now I go two days a week.
