The Chicks (formally known as The Dixie Chicks) formed in Dallas Texas. The group consisted of four women, Emily Erwin Robison Strayer, Martie Erwin Maguire, Robin Lynn Macy & former lead singer Lynch. Laura Lynch was replaced by Natalie Maines.
On June 20, 2003 we to see the Chicks at Madison Square Garden. It was their “Top of the World” Tour. The show was great. After it was over we went backstage and met them. They were really nice and got their autograph and took a picture.
They came back on August 1, 2006. It was their Accidents & Accusations Tour. When Emily saw me from the stage she came over to where I was sitting & she said “See you later”! & I was like “OK”! It was another great show. We went backstage to meet them again. Emily (who is my favorite) came out first. Emily knew she’s my favorite, so I think she wanted to spend a little quality time with me before Martie & Natalie came out We talked and I gave her a birthday card that I made for her. Emily & I took pictures together. She signed the poster I made. Natalie and Martie came out. They came over and everyone signed my CD. We took a picture.
The last time we saw them was at MSG on June 13, 2016. It was their MMXVI Tour The show was really great. Unfortunately we didn’t go backstage this time.
Emily put a picture of herself on her Instagram story and I replied to it. She liked my reply and we started talking on October 17 2021. She told me that The Chicks were coming to New York so I messaged her that I was going to see them and I made her something for her birthday that I wanted to give to her in person. I didn’t hear back from her about it so I just thought she couldn’t meet me because of Covid.
The morning of the show I messaged her and said “I’ll see you later Emily!” Then she messages me back asking me for my phone number but I didn’t want to put it on Instagram so she gave me their Tour Manager’s number. Emily offered to come out to meet me and take a picture with me. Emily made me SO EXCITED that morning! Thank you Emily!!!!
