Every year at the end of May are the Victory Games at Mitchell Field in Uniondale which is in Long Island. It used to be called the Empire State Games for the Physically Challenged. I participated in a lot of the games and wheelchair races. I won a total of 51 medals. I won 22 gold, 14 silver & 15 bronze medals. I played wheelchair basketball when I was at Henry Viscardi School. Our team, the Cougars played there in the basketball tournament. You can go until you are 21 years old. We still go back to watch the games.
