POCO is a Southern California Country Rock band originally formed by Richie Furay on vocals & guitar, Jim Messina on vocals & guitar & Rusty Young on vocals & lap pedal steel guitar in 1968. Other band members include George Grantham on vocals & drums, Randy Meisner on vocals & bass, Timothy B. Schmit on vocals & bass & Paul Cotton on guitar.
In the early 1970’s POCO created a genre of music called “Southern California Rock”. It’s not just either Country or rock. It’s both!
My favorite POCO songs are “Keep on Tryin” “Pickin Up the Pieces”, “Rose of Cimarron”, & ” Crazy Love”.
